BUDDING youngsters from Harwich and Dovercourt Rugby Club left their coaches and parents brimming with pride after winning a coveted Respect Award.

They received it at the Hadleigh Tag Festival on Sunday.

Harwich had under-seven and under-eight teams in action and the festival is now one of the largest in the country, with over 400 players coming from across the Eastern Counties.

Both teams were brilliant on the day, with the under-sevens staying unbeaten, winning four matches and drawing one.

The club as a whole won the Respect Award, much to the delight of the players' proud parents and coaches Andy Hannon and Lisa Harrison.

Meanwhile, Harwich's under-nine, under-ten and under-11 sides visited Mersea Juniors.

All three teams played great rugby and have progressed brilliantly over the course of the season.

With the club now having players from under-six to under-15, the club are continuing to go from strength to strength and welcomes new players of all abilities.
