HARWICH Boxing Club's Pat Allen Cripps has returned to winning way.
After exiting the National Elite Championship quarter-finals the previous week, the light heavyweight recorded a victory when competing in Bexlyheath.
He defeated Manny Essex, from Danson Amateur Boxing Club.
Nineteen-year-old Allen Cripps nicked the opener.
He then got into his rhythm in the second as he switched attack to head and body effectively to comfortably take the middle session.
With momentum firmly in his favour, Allen Cripps stormed the last, forcing a standing eight count as one particular attack caused Essex problems.
After three rounds, Allen Cripps was adjudged a clear, unanimous points winner and he now looks forward to the Haringey Box Cup in June.
