WELTERWEIGHT sensation Paul Gordon returned to competitive ring action after a three-month break with a contest at Felixstowe.
The Harwich Boxing Club member faced Corby-based boxer Craig Brewan in an exciting tussle over three two-minute rounds.
Brewan was quicker out of the blocks as Gordon struggled to shake the ring-rust off in the opener.
The second round saw the 20-year-old find his rhythm as he started to fire off his trademark heavy shots.
More pressure from Gordon in the last saw him home on a unanimous points decision.
This bout served as a perfect warm-up for Gordon as he enters a prestigious Multi Nations Box Cup event that takes place in mid-June at London's opulent Alexandra Palace.
Fifteen-year-old junior Toby Gledhill looked to rebound from a close defeat six days early, this time facing Billericay's Peter Neal.
After being out-boxed in the first round, a corner-led change of tactics saw better results.
Gledhill's new-found aggression saw him take control of the contest.
A particularly dominant last round saw the Harwich boxer confirm the spoils on a split points win.
