FC CLACTON moved into the Thurlow Nunn League premier division's top ten with a 2-1 win against Hadleigh United on Bank Holiday Monday.
Michael Runicles and Wayne Chapman were on target for the Seasiders, who moved up to ninth in the top-flight, however, there was a 2-1 defeat for WIVENHOE TOWN at Haverhill Borough.
Billy Latto had given the Dragons the lead in that game and there was also a defeat in division one for LITTLE OAKLEY as they lost 3-0 at Whitton United.
