CHASE Lane Primary School's indoor athletics team have been busy competing.
They have taken part in three different events - the Harwich finals, the north Essex finals, in Brightlingsea, and the Essex county finals, in Southend.
Twenty-seven pupils represented the school in different disciplines such as soft javelin, chest push, vertical jump, triple jump, long jump, speed bounce and also running on the track.
Special mention goes to Ty Greene, Ellis Taylor, Barney Weston and Sam Perry, who won their heat in the four by one-lap relay.
Ty and Hayy Kabangu came second and third in the long jump, while Ty also came third in the triple jump.
Honey Knight came third in the chest push.
The children had a great time representing their school and, having won the Harwich and Brightlingsea events, they were pleased to finish tenth out of the 14 schools in Southend.
