HARWICH and Parkeston's under-11s travelled to the Pro Touch Invitational Cup, in Islington.

They rubbed shoulders with professional clubs including Liverpool, Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, QPR, Millwall and Leyton Orient.

After being grouped with Millwall, QPR and local league champions Camden Elite, the Shrimpers made it through to the next round where they again faced Millwall.

Unfortunately, they suffered a narrow defeat but before the day was done, Harwich were approached to play a game against Forest.

Overall, the day was a fantastic experience for the Harwich players, who are managed by Neil Ruston.

It has also created future opportunities for next season as they have been invited back to play Millwall and Leyton Orient.
