HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club held their annual Coffin Dodgers Invitational Golf Day at Braxton Park.
It proved a resounding success, with 24 players taking part in teams of four in a Texas Scramble competition.
Only 1.9 strokes separated the winning team from the last.
The winners, with a score of 57.6, were Tony Dumper, Roderick Richardson, Sean O'Hara and Mike Brasier.
In second, on countback, were Charlie Dennis, Jeff Murray, David Southgate and Norman Cory, with 58.1, while third place went to Steve Dow, Keith Morris, Bob Sexton and Ron Turner, with 58.1.
Meanwhile, in a veterans' match, Harwich drew 4-4 with Forrester Park.
