Colchester United will check on the fitness of defender Frankie Kent after he limped out of their Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat against Gillingham last night.
The teenage centre-back was forced off at half-time of the U's penalty shoot-out loss against the Gills after suffering an ankle injury in the second-round tie.
Kent is now a doubt for Colchester's home game with Fleetwood Town on Saturday but U's boss Tony Humes is hoping he will be able to shake off the knock.
Humes: “I think Frankie got trod on and just turned his ankle a little bit.
“It was more precautionary to take him off.
“Hopefully he’ll be OK for Saturday but we’ll just have to wait and see how he develops."
