Colchester United playmaker David Fox will today undergo an X-ray on a foot injury which is threatening to cut short his season.
The U's midfielder has missed their last two games after suffering the injury in the latter stages of their 2-2 draw at Gillingham, last month.
Fox, who has suffered a small crack in a bone in his foot, has already undergone one X-ray on the injury.
And the former Norwich City player will have a second one today, to check his progress to see how it is healing.
U's boss Tony Humes said: “Hopefully David will play a part in the remaining six games but we have to see how it’s repairing and settling down."
