Dion Sembie-Ferris has committed his future to Colchester United by signing a three-year deal with the club.
The 18-year-old winger, who made 11 appearances for the U's after bursting onto the scene in the final few months of the season, has agreed a new contract which will keep him at the Weston Homes Community Stadium until the summer of 2018.
Sembie-Ferris, who joined the U's from St Neots Town, made his first-team bow after coming on as a substitute in their FA Cup third round defeat at Championship side Cardiff City, in January.
And he went on to play his part in keeping Colchester in League One with a succession of substitute appearances, along with two senior starts.
