U's to host Royals in Capital One Cup
Colchester United will host Championship side Reading in the first round of this season's Capital One Cup.
The U's, who were unseeded for the draw, will take on Steve Clarke's Royals, who reached the semi-finals of last season's FA Cup.
Colchester were beaten 4-0 at Charlton Athletic in last season's first round.
The first round tie will be played in the week commencing August 10.
Colchester United will find out who they are playing in the league and when tomorrow when the League One fixture list is announced for the forthcoming 2015-16 season.
