Tosin Olufemi returned to the Colchester United side for the first time in nearly 18 months at Swindon Town – and earned praise from manager Tony Humes.
The U’s youngster missed the whole of last season through injury but made his first senior start since April 2014, in their 2-1 triumph at the County Ground.
Olufemi came in at right-back against the Robins for the injured Kane Vincent-Young, who missed out with an ankle Achilles injury.
Humes said: “Tosin’s overall game was very good – he did the defensive duties very well and his use of the ball was very good for most of the game.
“He got forward well too and he showed that he’s a good player.
“It’ll do his confidence the world of good, after being out for so long.”
