Colchester United loanee Callum Harriott was watched by Charlton Athletic interim head coach Karel Fraeye at the U’s defeat against Coventry City last weekend.
The 21-year-old, who is on loan at the U’s until the start of January, was watched by Fraeye in the U’s 3-1 reverse at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, as Charlton did not have a fixture due to the international break.
Harriott has been in impressive form for Colchester since joining them on loan from Charlton, scoring three goals and creating numerous others.
Last week, Harriott told the Gazette that he had been in talks about his future but declined to mention who they were with.
He said: “There are a lot of talks but I’m just going to keep playing and working hard.”
He is out of contract at Charlton this summer and Colchester are keen to keep Harriott at the club for longer.
He appeared to be on the verge of leaving the Valley last summer but the recent departure of Guy Luzon as the Addicks’ head coach may have put a different complexion on Harriott’s situation.
