COLCHESTER United youngster Louis Dunne watched from the sidelines as St Edmunds Youth under-15s made progress in the Colchester and District Youth League Cup.

Dunne, who has also been to the team's training sessions and presented trophies at their summer presentation evening, saw them beat Long Melford 5-2, in their second-round tie.

He said: "There are some great young players enjoying their football and it is great to see."

St Edmunds under-15s won 19 out of 20 league matches last season to win the league and secure promotion.

The Saints have started this season well, winning all four of their league games and making cup progress.

The club have great links with Colchester United and provide ball boys and girls for all the U's home games.

They are very excited to be providing ball boys and girls for England Lionesses' World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, next month.
