Courtney Senior has signed a new two-year contract with Colchester United.
The talented 20-year-old, who was due to see his existing contract expire this summer, has penned a deal that will keep him at the Weston Homes Community Stadium until the summer of 2020.
Senior has made a positive impact since making his U's first-team debut when he scored as a substitute in their 5-1 win over Forest Green Rovers.
The former Brentford winger, who missed the whole of last season due to a serious knee injury, has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Colchester in total and has scored three times for John McGreal's side.
McGreal told the club's website: "I'm delighted.
"We've been trying to get it sorted for a little while now, so I am really pleased that it's done.
"We've been patient with him with his injury and we told him that once he got back and fit, he would be playing first-team football - and he's grabbed that chance with both hands."
