Colchester United target Harry Pell looks set to leave Cheltenham Town after a fee was agreed for his services.

The 26-year-old midfielder is now set to discuss personal terms with another club, following a period of negotiations.

Cheltenham have not disclosed who Pell is in discussions with but the U's have been heavily linked with the player.

He has been left out of Cheltenham's squad that will travel to play Crewe Alexandra in their final League Two game of the season, this weekend.

Colchester have been tipped to make a move for Pell, who was born in Essex and still has another year remaining on his current contract at Whaddon Road.

The U's have been long-term admirers of the player, who has made 41 appearances for the Robins this season and scored six goals.

Colchester head coach John McGreal was last week reluctant to talk about the speculation linking Pell with the club, saying he did not want to comment on another club's player.

But it now appears that Pell is closing to moving to a new club, believed to be the U's.
