LITTLE Oakley’s Michael Good admitted being “proud and humbled” after winning a top Tendring Sports Personality Award.
The long-serving football club chairman was crowned Volunteer of the Year during Tuesday’s ceremony at Clacton Town Hall.
But he was quick to point out that it was a team effort – and that he was receiving the award on behalf of everyone at the Memorial Ground.
“It’s fantastic for our club to receive this recognition,” said the 51-year-old, whose various duties include helping mark the pitches and manning the car park on Sunday mornings.
“But it’s genuinely a team effort and I was very proud and humbled to accept on behalf of everyone."
