HARWICH and Parkeston joint-boss Matt Carmichael says he and his players are champing at the bit to get back in action tomorrow.
The Shrimpers are preparing for an Essex Premier Cup third-round tie at Tiptree Jobserve.
It will be their first fixture for a fortnight, due to the postponement of last weekend’s Border League Knockout Cup tie against Wormingford Wanderers.
The Suffolk side conceded the second-round match, due to a lack of players, but it was also called off twice before that. “We’ve had three blank weekends because of that one cup game, so it’s been very disruptive,” said Carmichael.
“League fixtures had to make way for it, only for the tie to keep getting postponed.
“It’s disappointing because all we want is a run of games."
