HARWICH and Dovercourt High School have been battling it out on the rugby pitch.
Their Year Seven side took on Tendring Technology College’s A side and lost 15-5.
Harwich’s try scorer was Toby Morton.
Harwich also played the College’s B side, this time running out 10-5 winners thanks to tries from Bray Price and Huy Dinh.
The man-of-the match award went to Dinn, with Kullen Smart in second place and Cameron Rose and Morton in third.
The Year Nines took part in the North East Essex School Sport Association’s seven-a-side tournament.
The Under-14s competiton was won by the Gilberd School but Harwich played with courage and passion.
They learnt as the tournament progressed and grew in confidence with each game.
Man-of-the-match, and outstanding player on the night, was Ryan Holdgate.
