LITTLE Oakley joint-boss Paul Sadler (pictured) expects his side to have “all guns blazing” in tomorrow’s home match against Lawford Lads.

The Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League side have not played since December 15, following the postponement of their last match – the big derby at Harwich and Parkeston.

Sadler expects his players to be a little rusty as a result of the enforced Christmas break.

But he says his players should be champing at the bit to get back in premier division action.

“It’ll be nice to blow away a few cobwebs, having not played for a while,” he said.

“And hopefully we can carry on the new year where we left off the last one, in terms of challenging among the top few teams in the division.

“The players should be raring to go again and hopefully we can go back to how we were playing in the first couple of months of the season.

“Hopefully the boys will play with all guns blazing and get the year off to a good start.”
