NATASHA Piper had a memorable 2012.
The 13-year-old, who lives in Bradfield, has been competing in junior affiliated show jumping for just over a year and had a lot of success with her 13.2 Palomino, Mister Kipling.
Three months ago her family bought her a 14.2 Irish sports pony, My Champagne Supernova (Nikki at home).
It was the next step towards competing on horses.
Natasha and Nikki have had a fantastic end to the year, being placed or winning classes on every outing.
They have already qualified for the blue chip pro sparkle championship which will be held next year at Hartpury College.
Natasha’s next goal is to qualify for the JC Winter Championships, which are held next summer at the RIHS at Hickstead.
Last weekend Natasha and Nikki went to the Christmas show at Keysoe College, as a warm-up to next weekend’s big pony premier show at Southview in Chester.
They will be having their first attempt at the qualifiers there.
On the first day, they were sixth in the 1m restricted open in a class of 87.
They then came fourth in the Foxhunter/1.10 open.
Natasha, a pupil at East Bergholt High School, has already secured sponsorship from two local companies, Chapelstone Equestrian Construction and Selwood Products.
