BRANTHAM Athletic are ready and prepared for tomorrow’s FA Vase tie against Whitley Bay.

Despite the wintry weather making it impossible to train outdoors, the club’s players have been put through their paces during two indoor sessions.

The tie was postponed last weekend and is a doubt once again because of the ongoing cold snap.

However, if it does get the green light, boss Tony Hall says his players will be fully prepared for their tussle with the North-East side.

They trained at Ardleigh Hall Squash Club on Tuesday and were due to have another session last night at the all-weather Goals football centre in Ipswich.

“Despite the weather, we’ve done all we can to keep the boys ticking over,” said Hall.

“We couldn’t train outside, because of the snow, but managed to have a really hard session at Ardleigh Hall.

“The boys did things like running and weights.

“It was solid graft and there were some aching limbs afterwards.”

The Brantham pitch passed an initial inspection yesterday afternoon.
