Swimmer Laura gets a Britain call-up

LAURA Stephens will compete at this summer’s European Youth Olympics after shining at the British Gas International Swimming Meet.
The talented Wix 13-year-old caught the eye of British Swimming’s Development Programme manager Graham Bassi at the event, which was held in Leeds.
The Colchester County High School for Girls pupil is now set to represent the Great Britain Youth Olympic team at the competition, to be staged in the Netherlands, in July.
