Flutter grabs fast time at Parkrun

THE Parkrun series is proving popular with Harwich Runners.

The series consists of free five-kilometre races held at various parks all over the country.

Serial racer Richard Flutter tried out the Barking course in East London for the first time.

Despite having a 20-mile event to race the following day, he gave the event his full attention and was rewarded with second place overall and first place in the V45-50 category, breaking the 19-minute barrier for the first time in 18 minutes 55 seconds.
