Harwich are edged out in Plate

PLATE holders Harwich and Dovercourt Rugby Club were just edged out by neighbours Clacton, in Saturday's semi-final at Wick Lane.

They lost 13-8 to their Tendring neighbours.

However, both sides should be congratulated on a pulsating match, with the result in doubt until the final whistle.

The game was played in an excellent spirit, with a biting coastal wind and soggy conditions.
