Chase Lane’s mixed cricket team won the annual Primary Schools’ Tournament.
Nine teams took part in the event, with teams from the district's primary schools and one from the Harwich & Dovercourt High School.
The event run by Gary Moors, of Harwich & Dovercourt Cricket Club, on behalf of the Harwich Primary Schools’ Sports Association saw group stages, leading on to a knockout competition.
The Chase Lane team topped their group, winning all of their games.
They then went on to defeat All Saints School in the semi-final before defeating Bradfield in a close final, scoring 72 for five which beat Bradfield’s total of 56 for six.
