LITTLE Oakley joint-boss Paul Sadler wants his side to carry on where they left off in 2013.

The Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League team finished last year with a flourish, winning six of their final seven games.

Sadler hopes that despite the Christmas break, his side can continue their purple patch in tomorrow’s tricky premier division fixture at Alresford Colne Rangers.

“We were on such a good run so hopefully we can carry on where we left off,” he said.

“The next month is going to be difficult, though, as we’ve got both Alresford and West Bergholt in January.

“Both of those matches will be a yardstick, to see how far we’ve progressed.

“We feel we’ve turned a corner, although we played a few mid-table sides during the last few weeks of last year.

“Those two are likely to be in top four, so it will be a test.”
