HARWICH and Dovercourt Rugby Club coach Shane Manning insists his side can still get better – despite starting the season with three straight wins.
The Low Road team are joint-top of Eastern Counties League division two south following last week’s 21-6 success at home to Ipswich Magpies.
It came hot on the heels of two other victories, as they kept the heat on early pace-setters Colchester.
And while delighted by his side’s encouraging form, Manning believes there is still plenty of room for improvement.
“I was very happy with the victory and the way the boys stuck at their task,” he said, with one eye on tomorrow’s Suffolk Plate tie at home to Hadleigh (kick-off 3pm).
“We dominated every phase of the game but, due to ill-discipline and not sticking to our structure and game-plan, we scored three or four tries less than we should have done."
