BRANTHAM Athletic manager Paul Skingley is hoping to retain the services of impressive loanee Brendon Heath.

The midfielder has made a big impact since joining from Ryman League division one north title hopefuls Needham Market.

However, tomorrow’s Thurlow Nunn League match at home to Whitton United is set to be the last of his month-long stay.

However, Skingley is hoping to keep him longer and plans to speak to Needham boss – and former Harwich and Parkeston manager – Mark Morsley.

“Brendon’s loan spell is set to end after this weekend, but we said we’d take it on a week-by-week basis after that,” said the Brantham boss, whose side thrashed Gorleston 4-0 on Saturday.

“I can see why he’s regarded so highly at Needham.

“He’s a great lad with an excellent attitude.

“Both as a footballer and a person, he’s been first-class and an excellent fit for us.

“If he ends up going back, he goes with our thanks and best wishes.

“But we’d certainly love to keep him and and it’s no coincidence that our performances have improved since he’s been with us.”
