LINKS Karate Club picked up medals at the Kyu Grade English Championships.
This event is one of the main tournaments on the karate calender and there were several gold medals for Links, who run classes in Clacton, Great Holland, Wix and Dovercourt.
They added to their achievements of previous years while there was also success for some of their newer members, who won their first medals.
Results: Team Kumite: Gold: ten to 11 boys: Liam Hope and Lennie Lock; 12 to 13 boys: Ethan Day. Individual Kumite: Gold: Emily Appleby, Lloyd Birch, Ishani Kadambi, Charlotte Hope. Silver: Maisie Raymond. Bronze: Lennie Lock. Squad: Emily Appleby, Lloyd Birch, Ethan Day, Maisie Raymond, Charlotte Hope, Liam Hope, Ishani Kadambi, Kyla Griffiths and Lennie Lock.
