STANWAY ROVERS are up to second in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division after a 2-0 victory at Diss Town today.
Both goals came in the first half and helped Angelo Harrop’s side get back on the victory trail, after being held to a 1-1 draw by WIVENHOE TOWN on Tuesday night.
Stanway have leapfrogged Godmanchester Rovers into second spot, after the Cambridgeshire side lost 2-1 at BRANTHAM ATHLETIC.
At the other end of the table, WIVENHOE TOWN pocketed another point after drawing 2-2 at home to Ipswich Wanderers.
FC CLACTON succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Felixstowe and Walton.
In division one, HALSTEAD TOWN lost 1-0 at Dereham Town Reserves.
