LEWIS Brown and Adam Kadlec represented Harwich Indoor Bowls Club at an all-day area junior pairs tournament in Felixstowe.

Fourteen-year-old Lewis skipped 15-year-old Adam.

In the first round, a nine-end game, they were drawn against Beccles and won by four shots.

In the second round, Harwich were up against Southwold’s Sole Bay.

With the youngsters gaining confidence, Lewis nailed the jack on the seventh end to put them three shots ahead, to take the round by two shots.

The third round saw Harwich take on the might of Ipswich.

Spectators witnessed some outstanding bowling, with Harwich winning all nine ends, scoring 14 shots. Having won all three rounds, they won a place in the final, where they faced Colchester.

Lewis and Adam put up a really good fight but lost by five shots, placing them fourth overall.

This was an incredible performance from two new bowlers.
