CITY SAINTS 2

DUCKPOND 5

Wally Castle Trophy

DUCKPOND were always in control of this tie – largely thanks to a hat-trick from Lee Timmins.

He headed them into an early lead, before Matt Geen thumped home a second for the Harwich side.

Liam Duly, Darryl Hinks and skipper Phil Taylor pulled all the strings during a one-sided second half.

Ryan Smart, Ben Hammond and Jamie Eades went close to adding to the score, before Geen hit his second of the game to make it 3-0.

Timmins slammed home goal number four, before Saints were awarded a penalty which they converted.

Duckpond’s final goal stemmed from a great move down the left, which became a three-on-one breakaway. Timmins was left with the task of completing his hat-trick from close range.

Saints managed to score again before the final whistle, but the result was never in doubt.
