LITTLE Oakley’s under-11s held their presentation day and players, parents, grandparents and supporters of the club had a very enjoyable afternoon.
The team are pictured proudly holding their well-earned trophies.
Alfie Bennett received the players’ player-of-the-season award and Aidan Lord won the manager’s player-of-the-season trophy.
Special congratulations to coach Ricky Hodgson, for a very successful first season in charge of the team.
Meanwhile, Oakley’s under-11 blues finished their season with a disappointing result, losing 4-1 at home to Halstead Town Blues.
This was despite opening the scoring after just two minutes.
Gabriel Hodgson supplied the pass for Aidan Lord to drive into the box and net with a left-foot shot. Halstead scored twice in a two-minute spell and led 2-1 at the break.
Two further goals in the second half gave the visitors a fully deserved win.
Joseph Henderson was named man-of-the-match.
