THE historic Fisherman’s Cup final is being played at Harwich and Parkeston’s Royal Oak ground tomorrow, kicking-off at 10am.

This annual football competition dates back to 1952.

It reaches its conclusion for the 63rd time and this year’s final is between current champions Chase Lane Primary School and St Joseph’s Primary School.

The event is run by the Harwich and District Primary Schools’ Sports Association.

This is a group of volunteer teachers who give up their time to organise sporting events, with the cup being one of the oldest on the calender.

Entry is free and everyone is welcome.
