HANOVER A made up ground on Harwich Men’s League champions Ind Coope A.
With the A division leaders on a bye, they narrowed the gap courtesy of a 6-2 success against Little Oakley A.
Third-placed Squirrels struggled to a 5-3 win over lowly Maybush, while, in the final game, US Club beat basement boys Hanover B 5-3.
The B league is hotting up nicely. The Golf Club took over at the top after winning 7-2 against the Luney Club.
The Cherry Tree are in second on the same points – although the golfers have won more games – after losing at home to third-placed Traf.
The Ships stay in touch in fourth spot after beating the Royal 7-2.
There was also good wins for the RA Club, Globe and Royal Oak.
