BRANTHAM Cricket Club skipper Lee Cooper has hailed his team’s exploits this season as a “massive success”.

And fresh from winning six games in a row, he believes they are well-placed for a crack at promotion.

The village side, who had no game last weekend, are second in Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division eight east with a game in hand on leaders Sudbourne Hall.

“This season has been a massive success,” said captain Cooper.

“I’ve tried to instil more competitiveness in the lads and, as a result, we’re having positive results on the field."
