HARWICH and Parkeston have been hit with a fresh “crisis” – and are urgently looking for a new manager.
Mark Sharp has left the club – promoted back to the Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division last season – after being offered a role with Ipswich Town’s Academy.
And John Fidgett, who was joint-manager, has also stepped down because he does not want to run the team single-handed.
He would, however, be willing to stay on board and work with the club’s next appointment.
Harwich chairman Tony Armstrong says Sharp’s departure is a “massive blow” and admits he is “extremely worried” about the Shrimpers’ future.
“With the new season rapidly approaching, we’re drastically looking for a new manager,” said stalwart Armstrong.
