THE Tendring District Summer League held its finals and presentation night, at Clacton Railway Club.

In the Tendring Challenge Cup final, Railway missed their chance while Double Trouble took theirs, to complete a cup double for the season, following a 2-1 victory.

The Tendring Premier League singles was won by Wayne Bloomfield.

The Red Lion player had some great scalps en route to being crowned champion, defeating Alan Currivan, Gavin Payne, Steve Barker and Darren O’Neill, before beating last year’s winner, Bryan Margerison.

Bloomfield took the trophy and £100.

In the ladies’ Premier League singles, the final was contested between the two top-seeded players.

Number two seed Caroline Ellner (Kings Arms, Frating) was victorious over number one seed Karen Breen (The Club), taking the title along with £50.
