HARWICH and Dovercourt Rugby Club’s under-12s produced an impressive performance on their travels at Stowmarket.
With Harry Pitham leading from the front, Liam Warren, George Smith, Joshua Reason and Samuel Messenger, among others, put pressure on the Suffolk side.
Combined with improved tackling and rucking, they turned over plenty of ball to attack with.
On the attacking front, there were strong runs from across the team.
Matthew McCue, Samuel Bennett and Tommy Moore showed good pace and footwork, with tries coming from Regan Constable (three), Ioan Woodward (four), Joe Sewell (two) and Harry Woodley (three).
There were some great pieces of play and one of the moments of the match came from Woodley’s well-weighted restart, which Constable collected at full pace, and he scored after cutting through the Stowmarket defence.
