HARWICH Boxing Club travelled to Harlow to compete in the Anglia round of the National Amateur Boxing Championships.

Frazer Mann (pictured), 15, hit top form at just the right time.

After an indifferent start to the season and then drawing two-time conqueror Liam Worcester, from Centurions ABC, the omens did not look good for the Harwich puncher.

However, fortunately for him and his club, he had not read the script and posted a solid, if unspectacular, first round which was just about even.

Mann then raised his game and scored well, as his determination for revenge took over.

With him in the ascendancy, he closed the bout down positively and was awarded a unanimous points decision in the class A under-60k category.

Pat Allen Cripps and Alfie Lucas both had the misfortune of drawing former national champions.

However, both boxers more than held their own before dropping points decisions.

Kasey Bradnum took the class C under-64k title on a walkover.
