HARWICH Men’s League A division leaders Ind Coope A suffered defeat at home to second-placed Trafalgar.

For Coope, Kevin Edwards scored a 180 and Neil Langdown had a 123 leg.

Traf’s Shaun Fox, who has won all his games so far, had a 120 shot-out.

Ind Coope A have now lost two consecutive games at home but still have an eight-point lead over the Traf.

However, they have played one more game.

United Services were 4-1 up in their game at home to Ind Coope B.

However, they lost their last four singles games.

Colin Goodey, who scored a 180, won the last game for a 5-4 win.

Chris Moncur had a 180, as did Services’ Sam Self.

Maybush moved up one place after their 6-3 home win over Squirrels.

Little Oakley A beat Hanover B 7-2 and go into third place, level on points with the Traf.

However, they have played one more game.

The Cricket Club beat the Golf Club 6-3, thanks to the last two games being won by Cricketers’ Kevin and Ray Lovett.

In the B division, leaders Cherry Tree won at the Rangers, 7-2.

Royal Oak had another big win and moved within three points of the leaders as they beat Little Oakley B 8-1.

The only winner for Oakley was Jason Cattermole.

Globe won 6-3 at home to the Shrimpers.

Paul Lammas won the fifth game for the Flag as they beat Luney Club 5-4.

The Flag’s Lloyd Smith scored two 180s – one in the pairs and one in the singles.

Shakers are joint-fourth after their 6-3 home win over the R/A Club.

Tonight sees the first-round ties in the knockout cups being played.

In the A division, the three games are Ind Coope B v US Club, Golf Club v Hanover A and Little Oakley A v Squirrels.

The three B division games are Shakers v Flag, Cherry Tree v Royal Oak and R/A Club v Luney Club.

The draw for the next round will be on Monday, at the league committee meeting, which starts at 8pm at the Royal.
