HARWICH and Dovercourt Cricket Club skipper Sam Felgate praised his players after a confidence-boosting victory at Nowton.
They won by three wickets, in Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division five.
Felgate believes it will put his players in good heart for tomorrow's home match against Witham twos.
"It was a fantastic win against a very good Nowton side," he said.
"They've been promoted four seasons in a row and look to be very strong.
"Steve Bushell [who took four wickets] put them under a lot of pressure early on in the game and he got us off to a great start.
"Adeel Abbas [three wickets] and Richard Bushell [three wickets] then kept the pressure on and we did well to get them out for sub-160.
"We then batted very well as a team to get over the line.
"Adeel produced a man-of-the-match performance in the middle order [scoring 64] and it was a superb knock under pressure.
"The win has given us a lot of confidence moving into tomorrow's game, where we face another potentially strong side in Witham."
