THERE were big wins for the top three, in division A of the Harwich Men's League.

Leaders Hanover A won 8-1 at the Squirrels.

The only winner for the Squirrels was Rob Baker, who scored a 180.

Hanover's Darin Good also scored a 180, as did Alan Mathieson and Matt Good (two).

Second-placed Maybush A had a comfortable 7-2 win over Ind Coope B, while Ind Coope A moved up one place after their 8-1 home win over bottom club Rangers.

The only winner for Rangers was Dave Kempen, who scored a 180.

Royal Oak lost at home to the improving Cricket Club.

Oak's Alan Lovett scored a 180.

Trafalgar stay in mid-table after their 6-3 home win over Little Oakley A.

Royal Zoo won 6-3 at the Services club.

Mark Davies scored a 180 for the Services, while in the rearranged game Ind Coope B had a 5-4 win over the Squirrels.

Carl Read won the last game for the win.

In division B, British Flag have gone to the top of the table after their 6-3 win at Little Oakley B.

Cherry Tree, who are on byes, trail the Flag by three points.

Shakers beat Maybush B 8-1. Maybush's Eric Mowle won his first game of the season and saved the whitewash.

In Globe's 6-3 home win over the Luney club, Barry Glover and Marc Piper both scored 180s.

Golf Club won all the single games for a 8-1 home win over R/A Club.

Golfers' Eric Bushell and Bryan Shears both had 180s.

Hanover B beat the Shrimpers 6-3.

Other high finishes of note include Matt Adams (Golf Club, 112), Jamie Doogan (Royal Zoo, 107) and Dan Fox (Traf, 108).

The last date for entries for the league's singles and pairs competitions has been changed to February 12.

The draw will take place at the committee meeting at the Royal on February 13.
