HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club held their Club Championships.

Conditions were hot and breezy but, as the course was very dry, there was plenty of run on the fairways for the competitors.

In the morning round there were some very good scores.

The top three were Colin Wallace (75), Neil King (74) and leader Luke Parr, who scored a par 70.

In the afternoon round, Parr scored another par 70, making his 36-hole score a very impressive 140.

He was duly crowned club champion for the second time in five years.

The runner up was Stuart Wallace and in third was Tom Neale.
