HARWICH put another promoted side to the sword with a dazzling display.

The first ten minutes were even before Rachel Griffin opened the scoring. Sophie Southgate then added a second before the brilliant Sophie Berryman scored a superb hat-trick within ten minutes before half-time.

The visitors had no chance against the speed of the midfield led by Berryman, Emma Joslin, Chelsea Dingwell and Nikki Kudela.

The second half started with Miah Reynolds, in goal, getting her only touch in the game and, after this, Donna Garland, Carolyn Rowland, Tracey Eagle, Josie Brosnan and Caz Greenall kept Framlingham pinned in their half.

Griffin added the sixth before Dingwell crashed one home from the edge of the circle to open her account.

Southgate then scored with an individual effort before Kudela lifted a shot high past the visitors' keeper.

Before the end, Berryman added a fourth and both Southgate and Griffin completed their hat-tricks.

This season has seen Harwich pass the ball so well, combined with excellent fitness and running, and the goals keep coming.

On Saturday, they travel to Felixstowe seconds.

IT finished all-square in this top-of-the-table clash.

The early exchanges were tight, with both sides having chances.

Harwich opened the scoring, with Lucy Brown netting with a cracking shot low inside the post.

This spurred Ipswich on but Katherine Hammond, Nikki Brown and Jenny Morgan held firm.

What did sneak through was dealt with well by keeper Sophie Williams.

Skipper Abby Henshall and sister Lucy put in superb performances in the middle.

However, Ipswich made a breakthrough with a high shot from Annis Cousins. Gabrielle Williams and Izzy Battley combined well in midfield but final touches went astray.

Just before half-time, Cousins struck again to give the visitors the lead.

In the second half, Harwich made some changes and Faith Eagle produced some good runs up the wing.

Chloe Turner, Brooke Purser and Taylor Kington worked hard in midfield, which eventually led to Candy Cornelius scoring the equaliser from close range. Cornelius went close for Harwich in the closing minutes and was unlucky not to get her second and the winner.

This was a cracking performance from a young side watched by a good crowd. Next week the seconds have another hard fixture against Felixstowe's third team.
