(Oakley Road, Wix) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Oakley Road, Wix in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 1015m south east of its junction with Harwich Road for a distance of approximately 215m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th May 2022 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30051585448 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Clacton Road, Wix Road - Stones Green - Zc12, Colchester Road, Stones Green Road, The Avenue and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 22nd April 2022 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier
