Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph Zone on the following lengths of roads (Hamford Park), Walton-on-the-Naze in the District of Tendring:

Road

Ambrose Way, Walton-on-the-Naze

Arthur Ransome Way, Walton-on-the-Naze

Description

From its junction with Nancy Blackett Avenue to its junction with Arthur Ransome Way (entire length).

From a point approximately 15 metres north west of its roundabout junction with the

Hamford Crescent, Walton-on-the-Naze Hedge End, Walton-on-the-Naze Honeypot Way, Walton-on-the-Naze Secret Waters, Walton-on-the-Naze Skippers Way, Walton-on-the-Naze Swallows Way, Walton-on-the-Naze

The Creek, Walton-on-the-Naze

unnamed road to new food store off Arthur Ransome Way, generally northwards for its remaining length (includes existing length of 20MPH).

From its junction with Secret Waters for its entire length, including turning heads. From its junction with Nancy Blackett Avenue for it entire length. From its junction with Nancy Blackett Avenue, including turning heads. From its junction with Arthur Ransome Way for its entire length.

From its junction with Arthur Ransome Way for its entire length, including turning heads. From its junction with Nancy Blackett Avenue to its junction with Arthur Ransome Way (entire length).

From its junction with Hedge End to its junction with Arthur Ransome Way (entire length).

'The Essex County Council (Arthur Ransome Way, Walton on the Naze) (20mph Zone) Order 2017' is hereby revoked, the restrictions contained within the aforementioned order shall continue in force by virtue of this order.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 31 July 2018.

Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
