THERE'S a kind of magic in Clacton this weekend when Queen tribute band Flash take to the stage at the West Cliff Theatre.
They have been paying homage to Freddie and Co for 15 years and played to audiences around the world.
Italian born frontman Claudio Desideri has developed a vocal range capable of performing Queen's iconic and wildly theatrical songs.
Claudio plays a uncannily realistic Freddie, with just the right look and stage persona.
He is joined on stage by an enormously talented band, including Nathan Mathers who brings all the electric guitar virtuosity needed to play a very convincing Brian May.
Their attention to detail is impressive and even extends to having the same live equipment used by Queen on stage in their heyday.
Millions of fans have been enjoying the music of Queen for more than four decades.
The band released a total of 18 number one albums and enjoyed 18 chart-topping singles, with estimated sales ranging from 150 million to 300 million records.
Flash's Best Of Queen show features a selection of the most loved classics from across the band’s entire back catalogue.
Flash are at the West Cliff Theatre this Friday***OCT06*** at 7.30pm. Tickets are £22.50 (£21 over-60s) from the box office on 01255 433344.
