CAMPAIGN posters against a village airfield have been put up and destroyed within days.
Angry villagers have created and displayed posters calling for planning permission at the airfield to be refused.
The flyers popped up across Great Oakley, Stones Green, Wix and Beaumont last week.
But by Wednesday**nov 21** morning some of the posters had been painted black, which is thought to be an act in support of the airfield plans.
The posters are against airfield owner Tim Spurge’s proposals for helicopters and a flying school at the site.
In the planning application it says helicopters operating from the field would give quicker access to Harwich International Port and provide refuelling facilities for emergency service helicopters.
But the posters say “no the the airfield expansion, no to noise pollution, no to devaluing our homes”.
Tendring Council is expected to discuss the proposal on December 4.
